Marguerite Jane Milewski nee Smosarski  92, Died on Sept.8,2022, was born on March 7th, 1930 to Ignaczy and Mary Smosarski nee Rabut in Detroit, Michigan. She attended Pershing High School and graduated at the age of 17.   She then attended Detroit Business College where she met her future husband John Joseph Milewski. John and Marguerite married on May 28th, 1949 and honeymooned on Mackinac Island. They began to raise a family in Detroit, Michigan and later moved to Livonia where Marguerite was active in her community as a girl scout leader, garden club member and proud parent.   Marguerite and John lived many places and enjoyed their vacation homes through the years.

 Marguerite loved her cats and was taking care of 6 strays whom she greeted daily by name. She appreciated  a good joke and loved life. She had an eye for color and fashion and made many designer clothes without using patterns.   She was always ready to lend a hand and comfort others.  

Marguerite is preceded in death by her husband, John Joseph and son, John Joseph Jr. She is survived by daughters Barbara (Gerald Wayman) Milewski, Carol (Ronald) Rakecky, Patricia Milewski and Anne (Randolph Petrovich) Milewski. She is also remembered by two grandchildren, Catherine Milewski and David (Danielle) Rakecky.
