Obituary

Lucy Leone of Glen Cove, NY, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2021, at age 96.  She was born in New York City on November 16, 1924, to the late Elvira and Carmelo Rufo.  Lucy grew up on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. A devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother, Lucy devoted her life to caring for her family.  She was predeceased by her husband, Peter Leone, in 2000, and her two brothers Peter and Larry Rufo. Lucy is survived by her sister, Mary Marshall, as well as her daughter, Diane Kissner, son-in-law Matthew, and grandsons Michael and Robert. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 from 4-8 PM. Where Funeral Services will take place on Thursday, April 1, 2021 at 10:30 AM. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Association would be appreciated.
