Obituary

Judith Rita Braatz, 81, of Norwalk, CT, wife of Gerald David Braatz, died peacefully at home on Saturday, March 26th. She was born in Mount Vernon, NY on September 21, 1940, daughter of Douglas and Margaret Allan. She was a graduate of Tarrytown High School, Goucher College and Parsons School of Design.

Judy worked as a fashion designer and later became a typesetter for Gerald Braatz Graphic Design, then later an office manager at Maryknoll Fathers.

Judy was an avid reader and very talented in crafts, artwork and crocheting. She most loved hosting family dinners and parties for the special people in her life.

In addition to her beloved husband Jerry, she will be missed by her two children, Daniel Braatz and his wife, Jennifer, and Timothy Braatz and his wife, Barbara; her four grandchildren, Amanda and Toby Braatz, Brendan and Julia Braatz.

The family will receive friends at the Hawthorne Funeral Home, 21 West Stevens Avenue, Hawthorne, NY on Saturday, April 2nd between the hours of 9AM-11:00AM. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 10 West Stevens Avenue, Valhalla, NY.
