Andre Turcot, 57, of Hawthorne, New York formerly of Nova Scotia, Canada died suddenly on June 23,2020 at his residence. He was born on September 23, 1962 to Andre J. Turcot and Beverly Ann Spence.
Andre spent the first part of his post-PhD career working in physics research, most notably working to prove the existence of the Higgs boson particle at CERN (which was proven in 2012). The second part of his career was spent conducting analytic work in financial services, notably structured finance, asset management and operational risk.
Andre enjoyed a full scope of interests. He took immeasurable pleasure in gardening, hiking and travel. He was an avid wine collector as some would say a true oenophile.
Andre is survived by his loving partner, Karyn Hofmann; his beloved children Felix Turcot and Gaia Turcot and their mother, Natasha Clark. His survivors include his father, Andre J. Turcot and wife June Turcot; his brother Christian Turcot and wife Jennifer and his two nieces, Alexandra and Victoria.
